The first part is a song called "Crystal Maze". The song was inspired by multiple Mega Man tracks, but also inspired by Crystal Man's stage in Mega Man 5.
The second part is called "Crystal Flames", and was initially part of Crystal Maze to begin with. It is MUCH more clearly based on Mega Man, particularly Heat Man's stage. However, the few bars ended up becoming their own thing, and I eventually wanted to loop the two together somehow.
..then I had a hard drive crash back in 2013, and lost a ton of music progress, including the original files for these two.
So, last year I finally got around to remaking Crystal Maze, something I wanted to do anyhow (the original mix had some issues), and I was able to fit Flames back in where I wanted after all. So, in the end it worked out!
